Like the all-new Camry, the Toyota Avalon has undergone a dramatic redesign for 2019. Boasting a stunningly futuristic design, brand-new powertrain options, and a wide array of the latest safety and connectivity technologies, the all-new 2019 Toyota Avalon offers plenty to get excited about.

Beautiful design

One glance is all it will take to see that the 2019 Avalon is drastically different than its predecessors. Featuring a lower, wider stance, a longer hood, shorter rear, and a boldly chiseled body, this sedan offers a huge helping of modern style everywhere you look. Additional details include available chrome-bordered gray grille and silver headlight bezels, quad exhaust tips, and stunning sequential turn signals.

New powertrain options

The 2019 features a new 3.5-liter V6 engine paired with an upgraded eight-speed automatic transmission. This engine is capable of a potent 301 horsepower and 267 lb-ft. The 2019 Avalon will also offer a hybrid system for added efficiency.

State-of-the-art interior

The 2019 Avalon’s interior has been upgraded dramatically compared to previous years. The sophisticated cabin is replete with real wood and aluminum details, genuine cowhide upholstery, and a smartly designed center console. The 2019 Avalon will also boast standard Apple CarPlay™ on all trim levels as well as the available Entune 3.0 infotainment system with a 9-inch touchscreen and Amazon Alexa compatibility.

Toyota Introducing 5th-Generation Avalon Sedan at Detroit Auto Show

Those who like to keep an eye out for all things new and exciting in the automotive world are no doubt looking forward to the upcoming North American International Auto Show. This annual event takes place on Jan. 13-28, in Detroit. Lots of interesting debuts are sure to grab attention from auto fans worldwide, but the crew at Bill Walsh Toyota is excited about one thing in particular: the introduction of the 5th-generation Avalon sedan.

Toyota will debut the new generation of its full-size sedan on Jan. 15. So far, the company hasn’t released much in the way of information — just a small teaser photo that shows the new Avalon’s headlight. The photo suggests that the new generation will make this staple sedan a little sportier. If previous generations are any indication, the new 5th-generation Avalon should have top-notch efficiency and at least one available peppy V6 engine.

If you’re dying to know about the next generation of the Toyota Avalon but can’t make it to Detroit this January, fear not. Toyota plans to live stream the big reveal on its website. All you need to do is visit the Toyota website on Jan. 15 and you’ll be among the first to witness the new 2019 Toyota Avalon sedan.
